Engineered Surfaces

It’s long been proven that engineered surfaces are a cost effective way of extending life and enhancing performance of products, parts and tools.  For decades JAS has helped customers prevent wear and corrosion through the application of coatings.

Alloys • Epoxies • Ceramics

Whether it’s abrasion, cavitation, impact or corrosion, we’ll apply the ideal coating to extend the life and enhance the performance of your parts and tools.

Abrasion • Erosion • Impact • Corrosion • Chemical Attack

Types of Coatings JAS Offers:

  • Metalizing Thermal Spray
    • Twin Wire Arc
    • Flame Spray
    • Laser Cladding
    • HVOF
  • Weld Overlay
  • Epoxy
  • Ceramic
  • Electroplating
  • Hot Dip Galvanization
  • Chemical Vapor Deposition

Thermal Spray:

An efficient and effective method of bonding alloys to a substrate, Thermal Spray is a terrific option for applying a robust coating while using relatively little heat.

Thermal Spray Coatings are used for:

  • Increasing Wear Resistance
  • Corrosion Prevention
  • Rebuilding Worn Surfaces
  • Impact Protection
  • Blocking Chemical Attack

Epoxy:

Polymer systems offer unique properties that metals and ceramics cannot, for example, they are inert to many forms of chemical attack, making them ideal for high chloritic, sulfuric and phosphoric environments. They also require relatively little heat during application, thus eliminating hot work conditions.

Advancements in polymer chemistry have also produced thermoplastics with impact strength superior to that of many metals.

Knowing when to use a polymer system is key because it can often times be a more cost effective solution while delivering superior performance.

JAS is proud to use and supply Belzona polymer systems to our customers.

Weld Overlay:

For decades, weld overlay and cladding technologies have been reliable methods for hardfacing surfaces, providing protection from wear and corrosion.

Our customers trust the experience and skilled craftsmanship of JAS’s specialty welding services to protect their most critical components.
