“Materials Matter”, a philosophy that JAS was founded on in 2013 and one that remains today. JAS began its operations as an alloy powder manufacturer, specializing in wear resistant materials designed for metalized coatings. Since then, JAS has grown into a dynamic materials engineering company, supplying customers with a wide variety of alloys, ceramics and polymers.

Wanting to leverage JAS’s understanding of materials, customer demand for related services, such as manufacturing and coatings, grew louder. JAS responded and built a world-class machine shop that offers a wide range of manufacturing, repair and coating services.

As JAS grew, demand for larger scale projects grew with it. JAS decided to take the show on the road launching a Field Services division, delivering quality materials and highly skilled technicians where they’re needed most, at our customer’s location.

With decades of experience, JAS has engineered and supplied materials for thousands of customers around the world.

At its St. Petersburg facility, JAS manufactures Tungsten, Nickel, Iron, Aluminum and Titanium based alloys along with several ceramics such as yttria stabilized zirconia.

Additionally, JAS belongs to a large network of materials manufacturers that enables us to offer customers a large variety of quality alloys, polymers, ceramics and composites at competitive rates.

JAS materials are widely used in:

  • Welding Thermal Spray
  • Polymer & Ceramic
  • Coatings Powder
  • Injection Molding
  • 3D Printing

JAS is committed to conserving our natural resources and relentlessly seeks out methods of minimizing industrialized environmental impact. As part of that commitment, JAS has created several processing techniques to remanufacture expended materials. We study the metallography and chemical composition then design countermeasures to bring expended materials back to their original specification ranges.

JAS has a long history of helping customers with their wear and corrosion prevention needs. Whether it’s abrasion, cavitation, impact or rust, we’ll apply a coating that will extend the life and enhance the performance of your parts and tools.

Types of Coatings JAS Offers:

  • Metalizing Thermal Spray
    • Twin Wire Arc
    • Flame Spray
    • Laser Cladding
    • Cold Spray
    • Weld Overlay
  • Epoxy
  • Ceramic
  • Electroplating
  • Hot Dip Galvanization
  • Chemical Vapor Deposition
Many customers who trust our expertise for their materials selection also depend on JAS to fabricate or repair items using that material. To fill that need, JAS built a world class machine shop capable of fabricating and repairing many types of parts and tools.
